If you’ve been concerned about homelessness in Hawai’i…
If you’ve worried about children living in cars or the park…
If you’ve wondered what can be done…
We’ve got the program for you.
Family Promise of Hawai‘i is an innovative program
that mobilizes an interfaith network to help families with children experiencing homelessness achieve sustainable independence.
While in the program, guests work with a case manager
who assists in the search for more permanent housing.
Life skills training, money management,
vocational and parenting classes are offered.
As a participating congregation,
what does Central Union provide?
Not just food and shelter, but a feeling of home.
It is a warm, welcoming place where people care for you.
This is what makes Family Promise unique.
How can you help?
We need people to prepare meals, or portions of meals.
We need sleepers.
We need help with set-up on Sunday and
take-down the following Sunday.
We need people to do laundry.
We need supplies donated: diapers, baby wipes,
paper goods, aluminum foil, cereal, pastries, rice, etc.
There are many ways to be involved.
Please contact Martha Balkin - firstname.lastname@example.org
if you can help.
