Beretania Street) have invited us—and all—to a community event they are hosting on June 27! \n\n\n\nThis event is a community watch party and special broadcast screening of the Tabernacle Choir’s “Songs of Hope” concert. Guests will gather together for an evening of uplifting music\, fellowship\, and service while experiencing the concert as a community here in Hawai‘i. \nIn the spirit of the concert’s message of hope and giving\, attendees are encouraged to bring one or more items to donate to support local charities serving women\, youth\, and families in need throughout Hawai‘i. \n \nBring one or more of the following items to donate: \n\nnew socks\nnew slippers\ndeodorant\ntoothbrushes\ntoothpaste\nshampoo\nfitted extra-long twin sheets\ngrab and go\, ready to eat foods (i.e. canned)\n\n\n\n\nCome for food and fellowship\, powerful music\, and messages of hope! \nGET FREE TICKETS HERE

Vespers is an ancient Christian tradition of evening prayer\, consisting of psalms\, hymns\, chants\, prayers\, and scripture readings. All are welcome as we bring together soulful musicianship and holy inspiration! \nTheme: “Where Two or Three Are Gathered” \nBased on Matthew 18:15-20 \n“If your brother or sister sins\, go and point out their fault\, just between the two of you. If they listen to you\, you have won them over. But if they will not listen\, take one or two others along\, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’ If they still refuse to listen\, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church\, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector. \n“Truly I tell you\, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven\, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. \n“Again\, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for\, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name\, there am I with them.” \nThis scripture centers on community\, reconciliation\, and the promise that when two or three gather\, the Divine is present. In musical terms\, this is about the profound listening required in a jazz trio or vocal ensemble. You can’t force the groove; you have to lock in with the players around you.
