SUMMARY:Godly Play Storyteller Training (Part 1/3)
DESCRIPTION:Godly Play is a method of faith formation for all ages that makes meaning through story\, wonder\, and play\, nurturing spiritual lives by honoring the centrality\, competency\, and capacity of children. Its special curriculum helps all explore the mystery of God’s presence\, learn the language of\nfaith\, and make authentic and creative responses to God’s call in our lives. Godly Play can be used in Sunday School programs and is also powerful in clinical settings such as hospice\, hospitals\, veterans groups\, addiction recovery settings\, and more! \nThe Children’s Ministry of Central Union Church is partnering with Epiphany Episcopal Church (Kaimuki\, O‘ahu) to host a Godly Play storyteller training in person on three Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Training will be held on March 29 and May 3 (at Central Union) and May 31 (at Epiphany Episcopal). \nAnyone is eligible for training — no need for previous knowledge\, training\, or experience… an open heart and willingness to learn are the only requirements! To complete the training\, one must attend all three sessions. DESCRIPTION:Plan to shop and support our Thrift Shop at their Rummage Sale on Saturday\, April 12\, from 9 AM to 1 PM in the Women’s Building. Seventy-five percent of all Thrift Shop funds go to our Women’s League programs which provide scholarships and support other community organizations. \nVolunteers are needed for setup the Thursday and Friday prior (before 6 PM) and for the Sale on Saturday morning. \nPlease let us know if you can help out or contact: thriftshop@centralunionchurch.org. \nIf you have newspaper or packing paper\, bubble wrap\, hangers\, grocery/shopping bags that you’re willing to part with\, we will gladly take them!
