DESCRIPTION:Bring your keiki for a quick and fun Easter Eggstravaganza! \n\n\n\n\nJoin our Children’s Ministry for their annual Easter Eggstravaganza following the 9 AM worship service (and preceding the 11 AM worship service) on Easter Sunday\, April 5. \nIt’s a quick and fun activity to let your keiki experience some Easter joy. \nIt’s BYOB—keiki are invited to bring a basket and collect as many eggs as they want. The eggs will be empty (like the tomb on Easter morning) but they can turn in their eggs in exchange for a goody bag! \nEach egg collected will represent a monetary donation. This year\, the donation will go toward local recovery and relief efforts following the floods that devastated many communities in Hawai‘i. This project will continue throughout the Easter season until Pentecost.

Its special curriculum helps all explore the mystery of God’s presence\, learn the language of\nfaith\, and make authentic and creative responses to God’s call in our lives. Godly Play can be used in Sunday School programs and is also powerful in clinical settings such as hospice\, hospitals\, veterans groups\, addiction recovery settings\, and more! \nThe Children’s Ministry of Central Union Church is partnering with Epiphany Episcopal Church (Kaimuki\, O‘ahu) to host a Godly Play storyteller training in person on three Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Training will be held on March 29 and May 3 (at Central Union) and May 31 (at Epiphany Episcopal). \nAnyone is eligible for training — no need for previous knowledge\, training\, or experience… an open heart and willingness to learn are the only requirements! DESCRIPTION:Godly Play is a method of faith formation for all ages that makes meaning through story\, wonder\, and play\, nurturing spiritual lives by honoring the centrality\, competency\, and capacity of children. Its special curriculum helps all explore the mystery of God’s presence\, learn the language of faith\, and make authentic and creative responses to God’s call in our lives. Godly Play can be used in Sunday School programs and is also powerful in clinical settings such as hospice\, hospitals\, veterans groups\, addiction recovery settings\, and more! \nThe Children’s Ministry of Central Union Church (O‘ahu) will be hosting a Godly Play storyteller training in person on three Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM on September 14\, 21\, 28. To complete the training\, one must attend all three sessions. Anyone is eligible for training — no need for previous knowledge\, training\, or experience… an open heart and willingness to learn are the only requirements! Each egg collected will represent a monetary donation that will be made to the Aloha Diaper Bank\, the organization we’re partnering with this Lenten season. \n\nChildren’s Ministry is doing a Diaper Drive in partnership with the Aloha Diaper Bank to help alleviate diaper need in our community. DESCRIPTION:Central Union Church’s Children’s Ministry is excited to invite keiki from ages 3 through grade 5 to Compassion Camp\, an exciting opportunity to learn more about compassion and how to share God’s love with others! \nCompassion Camp is a half-day program scheduled for the week of July 24-28 on the church campus. Daily times (likely 9 AM – 12 PM) will be confirmed. Activities include Bible Stories\, crafts\, games\, and a community service project. A suggested donation of $40 per child is appreciated. \nRegistration will close once Compassion Camp has reached capacity or on June 15 (whichever comes first). Families will worship together until after the Time with Keiki or opening praise songs\, then children will be dismissed from the worship service to attend Sunday School\, accompanied by our Children’s Ministry workers.
