Every year on the Sunday closest to October 4, the feast of St. Francis of Assisi*, many people of faith participate in events where animals are blessed. We will celebrate a blessing of pets this Sunday, October 6. Bring your pet (or a photo) or stuffed animal to church to receive a blessing! Your pet may stay with you during the worship service. Ministers will be available outside after the 7 AM, 9 AM, 11 AM services to offer blessings to our beloved pets.

There will be an all-church potluck at 10 AM and pets are invited to come and share treats, as well.

*St. Francis of Assisi lived a life of simplicity, charity and humility. He is remembered as a champion of justice and lover of animals.
