October 4th is World Communion Sunday and the feast of St. Francis of Assisi (known as the patron saint of animals). We will be celebrating with pet blessings, paintings, and a Pūpū Potluck!
At Central Union Church, we practice open communion which means that ALL are welcome to partake and share in this meal – a symbol of our connectedness to each other, to all of creation and to God.
Bring your pet (or a photo or stuffed animal) to worship! Following each service on the nearby lawn, Pastor Rushan will offer blessings for pets.
