Experience the transformative power of music and spirit at Jazz Vespers. Vespers is an ancient Christian tradition of evening prayer, consisting of psalms, hymns, chants, prayers, and scripture readings. All are welcome as we bring together soulful musicianship and holy inspiration!
Theme: A Multitude of Voices: Echoes of the Saints
Scripture: Revelation 7:9-17 and Matthew 5:1-12
Revelation describes a vast, uncountable multitude from every nation standing together. For All Saints’ Day, this is an opportunity to honor the “ancestors”—both our spiritual forebears and the musical giants whose shoulders we stand on. The Beatitudes remind us that God’s kingdom flips worldly values upside down. We’ll explore the connection between the spiritual legacy of the saints and the way jazz traditions are passed down, honoring the collective chorus that guides us today.
