Aloha friends,
We serve a God of limitless reach. The redemption of God reaches across time. The presence of God reaches us whether we are riding high or we are laid low. Nothing, and no one, is so lost that the love of God cannot reach them. As a community after God’s own heart, we extend our reach.
Throughout our history we have broadened our embrace, expanded our understanding, and grown in faith, hope, and love. We have reached out to neighbors in need. We have sent and supported missionaries in distant lands. We have spread the gospel through church plants, service projects, and ministry programs like the preschool. We are a people who reach because we are a people who believe the great vision of God articulated in Christ’s prayer, “thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
Central Union has always been a church of trust, risk, and vision. As a community we reach inward and build bonds of trust with one another. By the Holy Spirit’s inspiration, we reach out. We’ve envisioned new ministries, birthed and nurtured new organizations, and implemented new ways of proclaiming the gospel in word and deed.
The blessings God gives through Central Union extend far beyond our understanding. This October we invite you to see how far we can go together with our fall stewardship campaign, “REACH.” REACH will be an opportunity to reflect on how and why God has reached out to us. REACH will encourage us to reconnect with one another in the church. The pandemic has kept us apart in different ways and it’s time to reach out to one another. REACH will challenge us to stretch beyond our comfort zones in order to bless others.
Our REACH stewardship campaign will begin on October 9th. Stewardship is about more than fundraising; it is about stretching our faith through the spiritual practice of generosity. Over the course of four weeks, we will share in devotional readings, small group opportunities, and testimonies from church members. Estimate of Giving Cards will be shared near the end of the month and the campaign will conclude on October 30thwith a special celebration.
We invite you to take part in this fall’s stewardship campaign. This is a great opportunity to recenter yourself in God, to reconnect with Central Union, and to grow in faith.

REACH with Central Union Church in 2023!
You are invited to pledge to contribute financially to Central Union Church. Submitting an estimate of giving form helps our church to better plan and live within our means. Members received pledge cards in the mail. You may also submit your estimate of giving ONLINE through the 2023 Estimate of Giving Digital Form.
