CUPS Fall Fitness FUNdraiser

Joy and laughter echo throughout the campus as keiki and their families make lasting memories at PTO social events throughout the school year. In October, the courtyard grounds are strewn with pumpkins, waiting for little hands to select the perfect one for Halloween. December transforms the preschool into a magical Winter Wonderland, and while the keiki enjoy hot cocoa and cookies, Santa makes a surprise visit. In the spring, children hunt for Easter eggs and interact with animals from a mobile petting zoo. And all of this is made possible through the support of individuals and companies such as YOU!

Central Union Church Preschool (CUPS) began on October 16, 1928, when fourteen children entered the Church’s Garden gates. At the end of the school’s first year of operation, on June 16, 1929, the following announcement was made: “The Central Union week-day Kindergarten has closed a very successful term…” Even at the earliest start, it was evident that the Church’s current mission statement, “We Engage and Embrace ALL as we seek to Embody Christ,” permeated throughout “the cooperative playschool.” Today, CUPS remains a thriving, vibrant preschool program within the community that strives to serve children and families from various backgrounds. The early learning years that keiki and their ‘Ohana experience at CUPS sets a solid foundation for the future, builds special bonds, and creates lasting memories. And we are extremely fortunate to have such a diverse group of students that come together from across the islands through the scholarships provided to many families.

 

We are excited to announce the annual Fall Fitness FUNdraiser on Friday, November 15, with the theme, “Believe You Can!” All proceeds support our beloved events that keiki and ‘Ohana look forward to each year, such as Pumpkin Patch, Trunk or Treat, Snow Day, Chinese New Year, Spring, End of Year Event, and so much more! The money raised also helps to fund our school yearbook, classroom supplies, playground equipment, and Staff Appreciation Day.
