We are a part of a culture that most certainly shapes us. One of the cultural currents that carries us is the current of “more.” This current is rooted in a view of the world marked by scarcity. This scarcity mentality makes it increasingly harder to find contentment, for if we chase ‘more’, we soon learn that more is the illusion of water that dances on a desert highway. We never arrive to find it! Instead, what if you went from ‘more’ to ‘enough.’ What might that do for your spirit, your perception and your mind? How might you move throughout this day, being content with what is, rather than chasing the ‘more’? We close with a poem inviting us to the abundant world of this moment.

Enough by David Whyte
Enough. These few words are enough.
If not these words, this breath.
If not this breath, this sitting here.
This opening to the life
we have refused
again and again
until now.
Until now
